Project Notes
Twofold Studio collaborated with Kirstin Burrowes Architect with the redesign of one wing of this Queenslander in Highgate Hill. The family bathroom was demolished and completely replanned, providing two-way access and a separate powder room. A ‘wet room’ was designed to include a large freestanding tub and shower. Natural stone was paired with Eco Ply and indirect lighting utilised to provide a day spa feel to this large family bathroom. Bespoke joinery was designed for the study and bedrooms, providing ample storage. A skylight was installed to throw natural light into an internal bedroom, and the study area enclosed from the veranda.
A corner of the front veranda was screened with timber battens and a hanging chair installed – creating a peaceful spot to sit overlooking the front garden. To complete the renovation a large daybed was constructed on the rear deck, providing a front to back refurbishment of this much loved family home.
