Project Notes
This project involved the renovation of living areas to an expansive 1880’s Queenslander. The kitchen, dining, living and formal dining rooms were transformed to bring in contemporary style and open plan living. Twofold Studio worked with James Davidson Architect with the redesign and planning of the space. Walls were removed and kitchen remodelled. A bespoke timber screen was designed to allow visual connection whilst defining the spaces.
A two-way custom designed fire place between the living and formal dining rooms was also introduced, connecting previously disconnected spaces. Stair balustrading became a multipurpose audio-visual wall. Graphic decorative styles, finishes and furnishings were integrated to work with the client’s existing pieces.
