Gather Festival Community Arts Festival

The inaugural Gather Festival was held in 2014 conceived by local practicing artist Susan Lincoln, and is a biennial event.  Twofold Studio took on the role of Creative Director in 2016 with a view to preserving and enhancing the original vision of the Community Arts Festival.  The three day festival comprised gather. EXHIBITION, gather. AWARD and gather. MARKET which featured pop up market stalls, food, music, art and design workshops, and family fun zone.

The event was enhanced through partnerships with State Library of Queensland – Asia Pacific Design Library, GOMA, local art galleries and sponsoring businesses.  The fundraising target was more than doubled for the event, which has now become a highly anticipated Community Art Festival on the local event calendar.
