CA Architects engaged Twofold Studio to develop the interior design for the front of house areas, and further into the project, the rooms. Design development was completed for this $100m development in 2017. An open, light and breezy overall design concept approach was applied to all the spaces. Further detail elements of screens, loose furniture and lighting created the link to the Cairns environ without overpowering the interiors with ‘theming’.
Design of the accommodation rooms was added to Twofold Studio’s brief at a critical part of the design and construction process. Twofold Studio helped design a language that could be taken through to all areas of the hotel providing the client the desired white, minimal approach they were seeking.
Working closely with CA Architects under a very tight programme, design development was completed and prototype rooms were constructed.
